  3. Happy to pay for service.

    We have many large websites but need this information. Certainly don't expect that for free. Happy to pay for the service to get a "pro" version for large sites. I see no option to do so.

  4. Site DOWN. Word count does not complete. Please fix ;-)

    Great tool, but hasn't been functioning for a while. ERROR: in select page count and ERROR: in select scan results. Counts never complete.

    Hi. This is an awesome program. It helped me find bad links. But, when I redirected the links it then counted the redirect page. :(

    Why would you offer translation services to translators who wants to assess a website? I found that quite suspicious.
    Not sure a translator would use your website if they knew upfront that you are offering translation services as well.

    Greetings,

    While in the past I have received reports from web word count with over 2,500 web pages of text, I can no longer get the tool to send me the report. At the 50 page mark, when it prompts the user to ask for a report, the counting seems to stall. This tool is really valuable to my master's research, so if there's anything you can suggest I am all ears.     When I download a TXT version of the text of a whole website, it is populated with '?' instead of the apostrophe. Am I doing something wrong?

  16. show the percentage of words that have been counted

    When you enter a website, it takes quite a long time to load. This would be fine, if we at least had an idea of how long it would take or how many percent of the website text will be analyzed. The little round loading thing just keeps going round and round.

  18. Count non english characters/words

    It seems that all our japanese/chinese/korean pages came back with a 0 word count... yet they have much content. Either allow users to block non-english pages, or update the tool to 'understand' non-English characters/words.

  19. Adhere to robots.txt

    It seems that many of the pages your tool crawled were blocked by our robots.txt - these should not be indexed as they contain no content or are behind a login, etc... It would thus be great if rather than just getting straight to crawling you provided a few options:

    Use robots.txt should be one of them.
    Another option should be to add folder to NOT be indexed. E.g. our international pages are all in /ja/... for Japan.

  20. Allow counting subpages only

    Asking for a count of eg. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/finland/helsinki follows all sorts of random links throughout the domain, which makes the results useless. Being able to restrict it to subpages only (URLs starting with /finland/helsinki) would be much more useful. See also: http://www.webwordcount.com/count.php?u=Xyffba3j#
